A Christmas ad for Nourison’s washable rugs.
This project was made as a holiday campaign, mixing storytelling with simple, stylized visuals. The idea follows Santa as the main character, building a fun story around him bringing a bit of mess along with the holiday spirit. The washable rug becomes part of the story, showing how those everyday messes are easy to clean.
The piece uses a character-based story, light humor, and clean visuals to present the product in a natural and relatable way. Each scene supports the feeling of comfort, ease, and the joy of the season.
The main character, Santa, was designed to feel warm, real, and full of personality.
The model was sculpted in ZBrush with attention to shape and detail. Textures were created in Substance to add depth and make the materials feel natural. The hair and beard were built using XGen, giving a soft and detailed look.
All of this helped bring Santa to life, balancing a stylized look with a sense of realism.
The environment was designed to feel warm and calm, inspired by a cozy home during the holiday season. Simple shapes and soft lighting create a quiet mood, with cool tones outside and warm light inside the house.
The project was developed over two months using Maya for modeling and animation, Cinema 4D for additional work, Redshift for rendering, XGen for hair, and Substance Painter for textures. Everything was done under a tight timeline while keeping a clean and consistent look.
